# PL/SQL Software Developer

NN Digital Hub is a subsidiary company of NN Group located in Madrid, Spain. We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units of NN Group.

The purpose of this role is to build a solid architecture for developing code on the INSIS Platform according to business requirements.

You will work extensively with claims and product colleagues to maintain an optimal data structure in the systems regarding customization code. The goal is to create standardized, cost-efficient, simple, reusable, maintainable and user-friendly code that delivers outstanding performance.

The solutions developed will also help integrate the Oxygen platform with clients’ IT landscape.

# Key responsibilities

- Design, develop and test business functionalities for NN’s INSIS insurance system.

- Develop, maintain and evolve code for the integration architecture with other platforms through APIs and file exchange.

- Create standardized, cost-efficient, simple, reusable, maintainable and user-friendly code.

- Develop SQL procedures, functions and packages in Oracle Database to analyse business requests and implement custom changes.

- Build code that provides high-performance solutions.

- Write high-quality code documentation.

- Support and collaborate with other business units and partners’ technical teams.

- Work closely with Business Chapters, including claims and product colleagues, to maintain optimal data structures in relation to customization code.

- Grow your insurance-business knowledge by learning sector best practices and applying them in development work.

- Participate in the team’s on-call service. This is a critical service, requiring 24/7 availability for one week per month.

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

# Key requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field.

- At least 3 years of experience developing Oracle database applications using PL/SQL.

- Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle Database.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience developing Java code.

- Excellent time-management, teamwork and communication skills.

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, delivering high-quality software to demanding schedules.

- Fluent English.
